Unfortunately not. My parents weren't well off when I was younger and couldnt afford a subscription to Hyperspace. The only subscription I had was for Star Wars Insider that my parents renewed every year for my birthday until I was in my teens.

Technically, no. I put it as unlisted when I uploaded it and linked it to my Patreon for my patrons to watch first as early access. Upon further research, if you add an unlisted video to a playlist (which I did), it does allow the video to be accessed through the playlist so that was a mistake on my part. Congrats though, you got a free trial early release lol

@tyrannozilla there are several published works documenting the making of Dark Empire, one of which I used as a source and credited in the videos description. Whether he's saying differently now or not, what he said and approved of back in the 90s is documented. What are his sources for him apparently redacting his approval of the story? Also, what is his source that George didn't save quinlan from death in the last issue of Republic? That comes from John Ostrander himself in an interview, which I put in my sources. This guy sounds like a moron with preconceived notions blocking him from formulating new opinions with new information, and you're probably wasting your time arguing with him.

@@Manda-LORE He just sent me a link to an audio clip and a written interview of Lucy Wilson, in 2022, stating that Lucas never really approved the idea of Palpatine being cloned and didn't find out until Lucy told him after the story was published. She did state, however, that Lucas loved the artwork. That's one thing the guy on Discord stated. As for the Quinlan Voss statement, the guy hasn't provided any evidence. He's also been quite pushy with his opinions on some of the material from the EU. For example, he thinks that the Darth Bane novels are mid-quality compared to stuff like Darth Plagueis, and that they are filled with a lot of plot contrivances. @tyrannozilla Tom Veitch, the author of the comic has stated and recorded multiple times that he asked George if they could bring Vader back for Dark Empire and he said "no but if you can find a way to bring the emperor back, do that". It's in the making of Dark Empire as well as reiterated in several interviews he did before he died. Sounds like this guy is a little dick lick looking for excuses to hate the EU that he has obviously never even read and just regurgitates whatever the rage bate youtubers say

It's a shame, since he's stated that he's a fan of the EU, but it does seem like he doesn't know the behind the scenes as well as he thinks, or he's intentionally lying. It's still weird, though, that Lucy would say, years later, that George didn't know, nor approved, the Emperor's revival. Heck, even the "Wookipedia" article on Dark Empire now says that Lucas wasn't a fan of bringing Palpatine back to life. Dougie even mentioned that Tom Veitch mistook Lucas' approval of his stories for Tales of The Jedi to also have meant that he approved of Dark Empire. Regardless, what you said was true that no matter what Lucas says now, what he said back during the making of the comic is well documented. Dougie also gave me shit about taking what people say years after the fact with a grain of salt. What I was taught is that I should be a little weary of what people say in interviews years after a certain subject occurred, be it the making of a movie or any piece of media, in general, because what they say now could deviate from what they've said in the past. Oh, and another thing Dougie tried to use as proof that George never thought of the EU as canon, and that it wasn't canon at all, was a few disclaimers from the West End Games novels and one of the graphic novels that mention that what happens to the characters in these stories is the author's vision and not the vision of George Lucas. Regardless of that, even if George didn't really see the EU being canon, he sure did have a lot of rules and requests for the authors to follow. Dougie even tried to tell me that Lucas didn't pay attention that much to what the authors did in the EU after Lucy left the company in 2005. I would have to disagree with that statement.

@tyrannozilla a lot of people like that will claim that they're an EU Fan or a former EU fan or that they've read 90% of the EU to give them false credibility. The only thing he may have me on is the Lucy Wilson interview, I'll have to take a look at that but when I made the video all I had to work with was Tom Veitch's interview and his book. I don't see any reason why Lucy Wison would lie, But still, it was published, George at any point could have stopped it from being published if he was against it that much. As for all of the other stuff, he's just choosing not to take my evidence at face value, I literally show a picture of the form that authors had to fill out to send to George in the video among other evidence of the approval process. Like all EU deniers, the only argument they ever use is "George didn't consider it canon", which they have no real leg to stand on with because he never outright says it, and even in the starlog quote which I already analyze and criticized in that video, he never outright says not canon, he merely says their in a different universe to his movies in his mind. They foolishly cling to this notion while failing to realize that by measuring the EU to this metric, they're also denying that the post buy-out canon isn't canon either because George has no involvment with that whatsoever. The truth is, whether George loved it, or hated it, he approved of projects within the EU which we have documented evidence of. And his company at the time, Lucasfilm, sold and marketed these stories as official continuations and tie-ins of his movies IE franchise canon, just as today, Lucasfilm sells and markets these modern stories as the new canon. They refuse to consider this fact though because then their entire narrative falls apart.

@dawudabdulali3827 the inhibitor chips were a cop-out because the writers made the clones too human and weren't creative enough to capture the nuance of how order 66 previously was portrayed, which they still could have done without sacrificing the clone's humanity, See my video that I did on the organization of the GAR (I made it recently so it should show up near the top of my channel page) where I explain more in detail about order 66 than I could in a comment. Also, Anakin acts nothing like his film counterpart in the show, which breaks the suspension of disbelief that this is the same chatacter. In fact, the whole show was seemingly written like an apology for the existence of the prequel films, which I fervently feel don't need to be apologized for. That's fine if you like the show but it doesn’t fit within the EU (Legends) and I omit it whenever necessary and I will never be convinced otherwise so don't bother wasting your breath.

​@Manda-LORE well I think anakin does act like hos film counterpart, like the scene before obi wan went go utipow or anakin and padme, and also we mostly only ever seen anakin when he was in his bad moments, while in the show we mostly saw him on good days, but I do think we shoudve saw more of that, essentially in like the episode where bariss and askoa got caught in the explosion during the second battle of genesis.

​@@Manda-LORE that one 501st line from the novel was pretty goated, but I like it with the clones being all different, and having them be more victims, it more tragic having them be spectators in their own body, unable to stop then selves from killing the jedi that they grown so close too.
